To solve the equation:
[tex](1 + \frac{1}{2}) \times (1 - \frac{1}{3} ) \times (1 + \frac{1}{4} ) \\ = \frac{3}{2} \times \frac{2}{3} \times \frac{5}{4} \\ = \frac{5}{4} [/tex]
The answer is 5/4.
