Explanation:

  • vms = 1 / ρ ( cm³/g )

ideal gas:

  • PV = RTn

∴ n = m/Mw

∴ m : mass (g)

∴ Mw : molecular mass (g/mol)

⇒ PV = RTm/Mw

⇒ V/m = RT/PMw= vms

∴ R = 8.314 J/mol.K
