A popular press source is a media outlet such as a newspaper, magazine, radio program, or television show that is a news medium. Popular press sources were traditionally newspapers and radio programs, however, there has been a drastic proliferation in the types of press sources. Today examples of popular press sources would include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, or The BBC.
