The number is 120.

1.1x = 132
x = 120

10% = 0.1 in decimal form. We’re looking for a number that when you take 10% of it & add it to itself (1.0) we get 132. Adding it to itself is why the first term is 1.1x

Let me know if you have questions. It took me a while to understand this at first.
