We have to find (f+g)(x), where:

[tex]\begin{gathered} f(x)=8x+5 \\ g(x)=6x^2+2x \end{gathered}[/tex]

We can write:

[tex](f+g)(x)=f(x)+g(x)=(8x+5)+(6x^2+2x)=6x^2+10x+5[/tex]

Answer: (f+g)(x) = 6x^2+10x+5
