= 5 1/3 - 1 2/3

= 16/3 - 5/3

= 11/3

In short, Your Answer would be: 11/3 or 3 2/3

So to do this you would have to convert the 2 fractions into improper fractions

5 1/3 >> 5x3=15+1=16/3
1 2/3>> 1x3=3+2=5/3

And then simply subtract 16/3-5/3
And they both have common denominators so it should be a quicker process 16/3 - 5/3 = 11/3

Then you want to simplify it

11/3.

3 2/3
