How did environment influence Native American cultures in North America?

Their culture was closely related to the environment in which they lived because there was no way to go anywhere else. The different tribes were far away from each other so every tribe developed its culture independently based on the environment. That's why in the continental America you have forest spirits and animal spirits, while southern America and Middle has things like volcano gods.
