Okay! 

To compare two lengths that are measured in different sizes, you need to find out how many of one measurement goes into another. 

Say if you have a scale factor of 6ft = 4yd. That doesn't mean that really does. You need to find out the inches or how many feet are in 4yds. 

AS SHOWN:

6ft = 72in

4yd = 12ft --------- 12ft + 144in. 

But if you want to keep it simple, 6ft = 12ft because 4yd equals 12ft.
