what we have to calculate is how much is 2.5% of 8000?

this means multiplying 8 000 by 2.5%!

2.5% is[tex] \frac{25}{1000} [/tex]

so [tex] \frac{25}{1000}*8000 [/tex]=[tex] \frac{25}{1}*8 [/tex]=200

so the person would receive 200 dollars in commission.
