The equation is as follows:

n
+ (n + 1) = 123

This can be simplified to:

2n  + 1 = 123

Now we just have to solve.

Subtract 1 from both sides.

2n = 122

Divide.

[tex] \frac{2n}{2} = \frac{122}{2} [/tex]

n = 61

That's the smallest of our first integer. We just have to add the next number. (or 123 - 61)

61 + 62 = 123
